Version 1.02 Playing in 2016

I have no frustrations with this game at all. I love selecting my own background not only for the table but for cards. This makes a game so much more relaxing for me. I would kind of like the option of tracking progress or scoring - but without it, I am a little less competitive with my past performances. Occasionally, after I have completed a whole set - the game fails to jump it to the completed file. Once or twice it has gotten hung up and I had to quit the game - usually it just hangs there a couple of seconds and then works it out. I really like this game. Looks sweet, plays well.

Placing Cards

In general this is one of the better spider games. However, as others have mentioned, we are unable to place some cards from one stack to another - the game will not accept them even when there is a suit/card match, much less a match of non suits. This makes the game unacceptable because if you cannot move a valid card from one stack to another, then you are at a disadvantage. Disappointing when this happens because this game in general is hard to win.

Spider Solitaire

I like this version of spyder. I like the fact that you can correct mistakes. I like the hardest version. It would be nice if you could play the same game in competition with somebody else.

no comparison to Window XP spider solitaire

Way too slow and inaccurate catching the cards and placing them to the column, nothing like Windows XP spider solitaire.

Spider is an excellent game

This is a game that my mother used to play with real cards, she really did have ‘patience’. I often used to ask her why did she enjoy playing a game that she rarely succeeded in finishing. She replied that she enjoyed the challenge. Unfortunately she died a few years ago, and I’m now just past 70, but with the modern electronics that game is just as challenging but so much faster. It’s a great past-time (although a real time-waster - but so are most screen games really)

Somewhat disappointed

The application worked beautifully for about 2 weeks then it would only work for one of the two computers users. Worked fine when one user was signed in but crashed every time when opened by the second user. Very disappointing. Who do I contact for a refund?

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

JUNK! Only works for a short time and then will not open!!!!! JUNK!!!!

will try another

acceptable graphics, lacks kb shortcuts, illogical scoring, no record of wins and loses, no way to insure not repeating same game

card moves

the card moves slower than the mouse

Some issues with this version

Running this on OS/X 10.8.3. Autocomplete blows up every time. When there are 2 choices of destinations for moving a card from one pile to another, tapping on the card will move it to one of the destination choices, and tapping on it again will move it back to the original pile, while ignoring the second destination choice. Continuing to tap on the card will move it back to the first destination choice, and the game will never move it to the second destination choice. This inflates the move count unnecessarily. It is possible to manually move the card to the second destination choice, but that defeats the purpose of the automatic move. When a game is restarted, the move count isnt reset to zero. It would be nice to have the ability to tap on a card, and then tap on a destination pile to move it to, and not have the game move the card automatically to a pile of its own chosing, which is often not the best pile. Otherwise, this is a good implementation of the game, and is pretty close to the Windows version.

captivating:

I love the game -- and spend hours on solving the number game… dont need another version -- not smart enough for it…lol

Fun and Addicting

Its really easy to use with a nice interface.

Great game but ...

This is a great game for spending some time with. Its also has some pleasing graphics. However, I have trouble when moving a card on a pile of cards that are in the bottom of the screen. I hope if theres a little space in the bottom. Otherwise, lovely game.

don

Not a good spider solitaire..graphics are not pleasing..cards move slow and wont go where you put them (on legal plays, that is) I think games are set up to not allow wins. It was only $2 so no big loss but it is not the solitaire I used to have on my pc which was awesome.

Same Old Spider…thankfully!

Finally found a Spider game like the PC one…graphics take a little getting used to, but the game is the same….seems a bit more challenging, but thats what keeps me playing!

I agree with don 100%

poor graphics; slow card movement

great app

I have LOTS of solitaire apps….this one works great…………(had it for months).

Problems :( with the program

This program will hang-up / freeze when you get King to Ace. It can sit there for 10 seconds to 2 minutes. If you try and continue and work around it, it dumps additional "cards" into the same spot the K-A were in. Very, Very annoying. - Fix this issue!

Spider Solitaire

Great game! Cards move quickly and I love the restart feature. I never give up on a game, just keep restarting until I win!

Very good and compeling game.

There are only a couple of downsides. One is that the cards are not scalable. If you have a long run, many of the cards are hidden. The second is that the graphics could be better as they are hard to get used to. All that being said, it is certainly worth the cost. The only other game I ever felt more compleling was Pacman. And that was a long time ago. BTW, the game is certainly NOT set up to prevent wins. Skill and a little luck is all it takes.
