Do not like this as much as the version I had on my PC. Cards move slowly and awkwardly, often takes several tries when moving a card to place it in the row. It must be placed exactly on top of the previous card. Find that particularly annoying.

Spider solitaire

Spider solitaire is my favorite game. I play it on my Kindle Fire, on my husbands IPAD, on his Toshiba, I even played it on my brothers computer in the Philippines. I always love the game, except for on my Mac. It is the Brainium version on my husbands IPAD. I do not understand why the game manifests itself so poorly on my Mac. I just paid for another version. I hope I can play it. I would not waste my time playing this version.

Small annoyances

No way to turn off tap to move of strecth the screen for a complete column to fit.

will not allow card draw if there is an open slot

If cards are already in order it is not possible to draw if there are open slots. This means that a winnable game can be turned into a loosing game because cards have to be moved to fill open slots.

need some revisions

I find the picture of the woman offensive. Secondly there should be a running record of games won, time it took to win the game, and the best time and score recorded

This is the second and last P.O.S. App that I will buy

Once the columns reach a certain length it is almost impossible to add another card to the column. There are no statistics despite what the advert says. Ask Microsoft how to write a proper Spider Solataire game, the one that came with Windows was flawless, so naturally it is no longer in Windows 8.

Dissappointing

If a run gets to the bottom of the screen the run won’t accept moved cards, support does not address this problem.

Not user friendly

The cards slide around and bounce back many times when moving them to another column…especially when low on screen. Pretty bland, too

Too Challenging!

I love MOST everything about this version but find it a bit too challenging. I have always played the PC version and am new to a Mac. I always played the 2 suit game and would win on average of 1/5 times which keeps me coming back. If my win/lose ratio is 1/20 I really don’t have the patience to keep playing. Why can’t they make a version comparable to the PC version?????

Not good!

App on a mac book will not allow (as others have said) you to add cards to long column.

great game

Love this game! Runs great

It’s ok

The game is jerky, sometimes the fulfilled stack will not go up to the top so you cannot see the next card in a stack. It is not a smooth game. Not a fan of the graphics.

Add fireworks or somethin rewarding when you WIN!

This is by far the best Spider Solitaire I have found. Just add fireworks or some kind of exciting animation at the end once you win, and it will be perfect!

spider

this is really bad. I have a HUGE screen yet I run out of space when trying to add a card to the bottom. It won’t do it and I can’t make the cards smaller or “scrunch “them. HORRIBLE !!!!! I want my money back…..

Time

My only comment would be that I would like to turn off the time as I use this game when on hold or waiting for someone to come and care more about having the least moves as I interrupt this game often and then it takes my score down, unless I just haven’t figured out how to put it on hold.

Somewhat frustrating …!

The game is okay. My main issue is that the cards do not seem to lock in place easily/quickly. I’ll drag a set to a slot and often it will go back to where it came from even thought it is the right move. Sometimes it can take a few tries to get them to lock in place. If your collum is long, you might as well just click on the card and hope it moves to where you wanted it to be, otherwise you’ll be there for a long time. If you’re trying to beat your time score, it gets annoying. It would be nice if the deck was in the lower right or left corner. It would provide more room for the collums. I like the spider solitaire on my iphone much better. It’s fast pace and the colums lock in place easily.

Great time killer!

Every doctor will tell you that it’s smart to play games like this to keep your mind active and alert! This is a great game with no glitches and is easy to understand! If you like to play Solitaire - Take it to the next level with Spider by Brainium Studios, LLC. I am NOT affiliated to them in any way shape or form! I’m just a dude with an iMac that gets put on hold a lot in my line of work and I play this while I’m on hold. So download it and enjoy! God bless America!!!

Solid version of good game

Play is smooth and the sound effects are not annoying, though not spectacular. My only quibbles are that the the card faces are somewhat hard for 60+ year old eyes to read, and it can be tricky to get a stack to “stick” in its new position. Once I fgured out to place it high in the stack and let is slide to the bottom on its own, this was not realy a problem. I’s recommend this version.

Ms

It took me awhile to adapt to the new look. I was uncomfortable but that passed. I like spider but this version doesn’t track my run of losses and wins and I miss that. Also, sometimes I have difficulty placing a card where I want it, for instance it may go to another viable location and I cannot correct it. Each time you move a card it used to how in the number of moves you made and helped you evaluate your own performance. It doesn’t do that anymore and I miss it. But, since I sometimes have to attempt a move several times in order to get the card to go where I want it to, the absence of that score factor may be working in my favor. The convenience of clicking a card and having it automatically move is great, as long as there is only one viable option. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the game and I miss some of the elements of a previous version and enjoy a couple of the elements of this new version.

I’m addicted

Of all the games I play, this is my favorite. It has statistics, if you want to worry about how many games you’re beating, but I don’t worry about it. Sometimes I have enough brain power to keep going after a game until I win, and sometimes I just run through them and feel free to quit one if it’s too hard to concentrate.
